The "wholesale slaughter of innocent puppies" mentioned in earlier notes was a total misrepresentation of today's modern use of the puppy. Sure, I like puppies. But the industrial use of puppies means one big thing--JOBS! Yes, in these days of recession, that's one big plus for the people. The automotive industry uses puppies in extremely efficient and humane way. Their introduction in 1978 of the "Puppifur" natural fur car top provided tens of jobs for the American people, as well as a beautiful new option for the American car. Puppies are a cheap, plentiful resource that are just as dependable as nuclear power. Let's support America by supporting the Puppy industry! How can you call the wholesale slaughter of thousands of innocent puppies every year anything else but a crime? "Humane" you say? Have you ever seen a puppy trawler? Men leaning over the sides with puppy harpoons waiting for one to surface? Tiny bowls of Puppy Choice or rubber pull toys used as lures for hideous puppy traps? It just makes me sick.
