Does anyone recall where "Jaws" was filmed (New England or
Long Island)?
By coincidence(?), there is an Amityville on Long Island. 
The town name that turned up in the movie was Amity.

Dear Carl:
 
        I believe it was filmed entirely in the Cologne
Film  Fa`brik  Studio in Cologne, Germany.  Certain parts,
such as the chariot race and the Luftwaffe bombing of
the Empire State Building were shot on location in
(respectively) Calcutta, India and New York City, U.S.A.
however.
