Dear Steve:

        You probably have heard of "derfing," where
fellow Plato folks use your terminal to send embarassing
notes to other programmers when you momentarily leave.
I left my terminal signed on while reading a note from
you and some asshole SHIFT-P'd you that little goodie.
I am sorry.  I don't need to disillusion anybody.  Since
you have taken it so well, though, you will soon be 
receiving a beautiful full colour post card of Newark
Delaware, my home, addressed to you.  I still have your
last letter, I believe, so I think I know your address.
Again, sorry for that shitty little note from someone
masquerading as me.  
        I admit that a postcard from Newark, Delaware
might not seem to be a sufficient apology, but it's the best
I can do.
