Christ, I do it all the time anymore and its beginning to make me into a real Dosteyevsky kind of fellow. There always seems to be something ready to fall apart in your spine, you know, what with all those chemical balances that must be main- tained and bone disks that have to remain stationary and gelatinous cartilage sections that hold it all together and, jeez, its gotten me where I have spine posters in my room and write spinal limericks on the walls of men's toilets and have this strange feeling that there's always someone following me, waiting to give me a spinal tap when I'm not expecting it. Everything mental- like they dismiss as "student depression!" I have a unique problem here, dammit, and if anybody, I mean ANYBODY comes up to me with one of those golf-tee shaped spinal taps, ooh, that will be IT, man!! No more Mr. Nice Guy!! My Steamboat awaits. He really is__ mentally ill. I saw him in the mens room, constantly looking at his spine in the mirror. It may sound funny but its not.
